Allulose Market and Trend
Allulose is a low calorie rare sugar. It is white powder crystal at room temperature, soluble in water, methanol, ethanol. Because most allulose is absorbed in the small intestine and excreted from the body through the urine, it is not involved in human metabolism and is therefore extremely low in calories. Allulose is produced by both biosynthesis and chemical synthesis, with biosynthesis being the mainstream process.
The global allulose market size was 5,100 tons in 2017, growing to 18,900 tons in 2022, with a CAGR of 30.0% from 2017 to 2022. Allulose is a safe sweetener with no tolerance and no toxic side effects, and has special functions that are beneficial to human health such as regulating blood sugar, and is the most promising alternative to sucrose. The global allulose market size is expected to reach 62,500 tons in 2027 with a CAGR of 27.0% from 2022 to 2027.
